5 lessons from emceeing the Orange Forum: Creating impact on and off stage

Emceeing the Orange Forum 2024 at Singapore’s SGX Auditorium was a 2024 highlight and an unforgettable opportunity to amplify voices driving gender equality and sustainable finance. With my co-host and over 300 leaders from across the globe in attendance, this was a space where purpose met action.

Here are five lessons I’ve learned from years of emceeing events:

  • π’ππšπ«π 𝐰𝐒𝐭𝐑 π„π§πžπ«π π²: First impressions matter. Begin with warmth and authenticity to set a tone that resonates.

  • 𝐁𝐞 π€ππšπ©ππšπ›π₯𝐞: Flexibility keeps the momentum alive from technical glitches to last-minute changes.

  • π’ππ¨π«π²ππžπ₯π₯𝐒𝐧𝐠 π‚π¨π§π§πžπœππ¬: Share narratives that inspire and resonate, bridging ideas and emotions.

  • 𝐊𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐑𝐞 π‚π¨π§ππžπ§π: Confidence comes from understanding the themes, like gender-lens investing, that shape the event.

  • π’πžπ 𝐭𝐑𝐞 π“π¨π§πž: Foster an atmosphere where collaboration thrives and every voice feels valued.

When planning the Orange Forum, we wanted it to beΒ more than an eventβ€”we pictured it as the movement in action. Amplifying impactful voices and driving meaningful change reminds me why I’m passionate about connecting people through purposeful communication.

If your 2025 projects need energy, strategy, and purpose, let’s connect and explore how we can collaborate.
